Dr. Shanket Bhakta is delighted to provide a glimpse into his medical journey.

Born and raised in the vibrant surroundings of West Yorkshire, UK, Dr. Bhakta's passion for healthcare led him to pursue a degree in medicine at the Hull and York Medical School in the East Yorkshire Region.

Following his graduation in 2012, Dr. Bhakta's professional path led him through extensive hospital training at esteemed institutions like Bradford Royal Infirmary, Calderdale Royal, and Huddersfield Royal Hospitals. Specializing in acute adult and geriatric internal medicine, this phase provided him with a rich and diverse clinical experience.

In 2017, Dr. Bhakta successfully completed the MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) General Practitioner training program in the West Yorkshire deanery, solidifying his expertise in general practice.

His experience as a GP serving the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England, has been incredibly rewarding. The diversity inherent in general practice allows him to draw from various specialties, catering to patients of all ages. This breadth of experience enriches his daily practice and reinforces his commitment to comprehensive healthcare.

Excitingly, Dr. Bhakta is now practicing alongside his wife, Dr. Vithya Indrakumar. Together, they are dedicated to delivering holistic and patient-centered care, fostering a welcoming environment for their community.

Dr Vithya Indrakumar

Dr. Vithya Indrakumar is thrilled to share a bit about her background and medical journey with you. Born and raised in the UK, she began her foray into healthcare with a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Bradford, graduating as a Pharmacist. Driven by a passion for patient care, she pursued her medical training at the University of Leicester in the Midlands region of England.

Having obtained her medical degree in 2013, Dr. Indrakumar underwent comprehensive hospital training at esteemed institutions such as the Royal Free Hospital and Watford General Hospital in North West London. Her commitment to excellence led her to successfully complete the MRCGP (Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners) general training programme in 2018 in the West Yorkshire deanery, solidifying her expertise in general practice.

Throughout her professional journey, Dr. Indrakumar has cultivated a keen interest in obstetrics and gynaecology, reflecting her dedication to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to women of all ages.
For the past several years, she has served as a General Practitioner in the city of Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, working closely with patients of all ages. Dr. Indrakumar has developed a genuine passion for medicine and is excited to bring her experience and commitment to the practice.

Dr Raphael Chae

MBBS (Hons), GDipSurgAnat, GDCH FRACGP

Dr Raphael Chae graduated from Monash University Medical School in 2015. Prior to that he grew up in Melbourne - enjoying coffee and the great weather that the city is known for.

His experiences include working in various surgical units at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne as a surgical registrar, prior to finding his true passion in general practice. He completed his general practice fellowship in Orange and Sydney, then moved to Canberra in 2025 with his wife to be closer to family.

In addition to his medical degree, he also holds a Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from the University of Melbourne and has also completed the Graduate Diploma in Child Health (Western Sydney University).

He also has also completed Certificate of Dermoscopy and Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine from the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

Charan is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with over 20 years of expertise in Exercise Physiology, Performance, and Rehabilitation. Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, Charan relocated to Perth after earning an industry scholarship to study Sports and Exercise Science at Edith Cowan University. He later completed a Graduate Diploma in Science (Exercise Rehabilitation) at the University of Western Australia.
Charan's career highlights include working with elite performers, such as the Kenya National Olympic Team, specializing in performance optimization and load management.
At Brindabella Medical Centre, Charan focuses on chronic disease management, helping patients develop healthier lifestyles and improve their quality of life. He views his role as a relationship manager, guiding patients to build a positive connection with movement and exercise.
In addition to his exercise physiology expertise, Charan is also a Professional Breathwork Practitioner, incorporating breathing techniques to enhance physical and mental well-being.
Charan’s patient-centered approach combines evidence-based practice and holistic methods to empower individuals on their journey to better health.
