Billing Information

Many of the independent doctors consulting from Brindabella Medical Centre offer bulk billing for eligible patients, as outlined below.

All skin related appointment are PRIVATELY BILLED regardless of age or concession status. Please contact our admin team for price enquiries

Bulk Billing Eligibility

Bulk billing is generally available (weekdays only) for:

  • Children aged 15 years and under with a valid Medicare card

  • Concession card holders aged 75 years and over

Please note: Bulk billing is not available for telephone consultations, procedures, or forms.

Please note: Being bulk-billed in the past is not a guarantee of being bulk-billed in the future if you fall outside the bulk-billing eligibility 

Telephone Consultations

All telephone consultations will attract a private fee, regardless of concession card status.

Patients experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to discuss payment options directly with their doctor or the practice manager.

Consultation Fees (Typical Fee Ranges)

Fees are payable on the day of your appointment without exception

Fees are set independently by each doctor consulting at Brindabella Medical Centre. The following represents common fee ranges for consultations:

Discounted Rates – Concession Card Holders (Aged 16–75 Years)

  • Standard Consultation (1 issue): $85 – Medicare rebate: $43.90

  • Long Consultation (multiple issues): $150 – Medicare rebate: $84.90

  • Telephone Consultation: $100 – Medicare rebate: $43.90

(Telephone consultation fees remain the same for all patient groups.)

WEEKDAYS (Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM)

  • Standard Consultation (approx. 10 mins): $95 – Medicare rebate: $43.90

  • Long Consultation (approx. 20 mins): $160 – Medicare rebate: $84.90

  • Telephone Consultation: $100 – Medicare rebate: $43.90

AFTER-HOURS (Tuesday & Thursday, 5 PM – 6 PM)

  • Standard Consultation (approx. 10 mins): $105 – Medicare rebate: $43.90

  • Long Consultation (approx. 20 mins): $170 – Medicare rebate: $84.90

  • Telephone Consultation: $105 – Medicare rebate: $43.90

Additional fees may apply if the consultation exceeds the booked time.

Appointment Information

  • Appointment fees are based on time spent and complexity.

  • For one straightforward issue, a Standard Appointment is usually appropriate.

  • For multiple or complex issues, please book a Long Appointment to ensure sufficient time.
